FAITH Evangelism intentionally implements the ongoing work of the Sunday School in discovering, assigning, and assimilating members and prospects in the mentoring process of developing “Great Commission” Christians. FAITH Teams from the same Sunday School department or class are assigned to visit people who would be in their departments or classes. During those visits, in addition to being prepared to share the gospel, Team members initiate conversation about benefits of participating in Sunday School. FAITH intentionally prepares and gives opportunity for participants to share the gospel with unsaved people, as well as to make ministry visits to Sunday School members. Class work, on-the-job training, and home study combine to help a person learn from a mentor. He or she discovers how to share the gospel and become equipped to mentor others in evangelism and ministry through the Sunday School ministry.
FAITH features a gospel presentation using “F.A.I.T.H.” as an acrostic that is learned through class study, visits, and home study. The FAITH outline is a relatively simple and easy-to-remember gospel presentation which can be used in weekly visits, as well as in everyday life situations.
FAITH teams make visits and participate in training classes on Sunday evenings at 4 p.m. or Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. For more information, visit LifeWay Christian Resources’ FAITH site or FAITHassist.com
