Vision Statement
Sharing with parents the responsibility of leading preschoolers to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and then guiding them to be disciples of Christ.
Philosophy
We understand the importance of providing an enjoyable, warm, and secure place for your preschooler while you participate in church activities. More than just a babysitting service, our preschool ministry is a place where volunteer teachers and helpers share God’s love with your preschooler. Your preschooler is our priority, and his safety, enjoyment, and spiritual development are important to us. We strive to have the safest, cleanest, and most loving preschool ministry available.
Childcare
Childcare is available for all Sunday morning activities, beginning with 8:30 Worship, continuing through Sunday School at 9:30, and concluding with 10:45 Worship. During FAITH Evangelism, childcare enables you to participate in sharing your faith with others. Childcare is also available during Evening Worship and many other church activities.
Sunday School Classes
Your preschooler has the greatest opportunity to develop a strong spiritual foundation during Sunday School. From infancy, your child can start learning about God’s love from caring Sunday School teachers.
Wednesday Music Time
Even infants can discover God’s gift of music! Preschoolers enjoy age-appropriate music activities in classes for Infants and Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours and Fives, and Kindergarteners on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:00.
Wednesday Mission Friends
Three, four and five year olds participate in Mission Friends on Wednesday nights at 6:30. This activity is designed to introduce your child to many cultures around the world and the missionaries that minister to them.
What to Expect
A volunteer will meet you at the sign-in desk each time you bring your child to FBC Marion. Parents of newborns through three year olds will receive a silent pager so that you can be discretely paged if your child needs you. Crackers and juice are provided for your child. Any special needs such as diet or allergies should be expressed to nursery volunteers when you arrive.
