Approximately 250 WORLD CHANGERS from around the Southern Baptist Convention have come to FBC Marion to work in our region serving the Lord in practical ways. We welcome them to FBC and ask that everyone pray for these teams as they are working in extremely hot conditions with heat advisories every day. Pray also, for them to have the opportunity to share their faith in Jesus with others. Finally, come and volunteer at FBC this week. We need a lot of help minister to and meeting the needs of these great people.

Thank you to Mama Shirley and to the many people who prayed, taught a class, served as a helper, provided snacks, or volunteered in any way during VBS 2010 at FBC. This year was a record breaking year of VBS in every way with a daily average of 370. Most importantly there were 30 older children who prayed and asked Jesus into their lives to be their Savior and Lord. Additionally, many children participated in and performed the 2010 VBS musical. God certainly has blessed this great evangelism and discipleship ministry for children.

The 5th annual FBC Missions Golf Tournament is set for Monday, June 7th beginning with lunch at 12:00 pm and start at 1:00 pm at the Marion Golf and Athletic Club. The format is a 4 person scramble. The cost is $60.00 per golfer. To sign up a team, come by the FBC office M-F from 8:00-5:00 pm to get a registration form or email Pastor Clay Hallmark at clay@fbcmarionark.org.

Currently corporate hole sponsors are being sought as well as door prizes. Prizes will be available for closest to the pin on all par 3s and on two long-drive holes. Sign up today for this great event.

On Saturday, May 15th, over 60 FBC volunteers in cooperation with Dentist Dr. Brian Rhoads conducted the first annual Dentistry from the Heart free dental clinic in West Memphis, AR. The number of patients being served was 153. Patients received over $20,000.00 in free dental care. At the end of the day 32 had prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Each patient received free dental care, and their family's received free lunch, door prizes, and games. Thank you to everyone who participated to make this event so successful.

The Children's Music Ministry will present their annual Spring Musical called "Down by the Creek Bank" next Wednesday, May 12th at 6:30 pm. This classic children's musical will be funny, entertaining, and inspirational. The children have been working hard for weeks on this production. Please make your plans now to be present for this great event!

FBC family it is time to step forward and get involved in several important projects that are coming up very soon. We are currently seeking to enlist volunteer workers and leaders for several projects. There are many of you who cannot or do not go on our overseas mission trips, but you can do much of the same work right here in our own area in the next few weeks. Let me list the projects and how you can get involved...

• FBC ESPERANZA BONANZA booth- May 6th & 7th at the Marion Sports Complex. On Thursday night we will be giving away Free hot dogs and drinks to the crowd on "wristband night" for the children. • DENISTRY FROM THE HEART on Saturday, May 15th! In cooperation with Dr. Brian Rhoads on Dover Road in West Memphis, FBC Volunteers will help run a FREE DENTAL CLINIC from 8:00-5:00 pm. Again...this is a mission trip right here in our own area. We will operate the inflatable games, serve lunch and popcorn, help with registration, help with free medical screenings, do crowd control, and evangelism. • VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL on June 14-18! Teachers are still needed for Kindergarten, Second grade, and Third grade. Many other workers are still needed. To volunteer call Mama Shirley at 870-739-3944 or email her at mamashirley@fbcmarionark.org.
• NEW HOPE BAPTIST MISSION CHURCH of FBC Marion needs some helpers on Wednesday nights to work with the children teachers. Because so many children are being reached at the mission church, many more workers are needed immediately. The FBC Student Worship Arts team is gearing up for their Spring Musical called "State Road 47". Take a unique look at the parables of Jesus from down on the farm. There will be two performances this year: Sunday night, April 18th at 6:00 pm and again on Monday night, April 19th at 7:00 pm. You will not want to miss this funny and inspiring story as told like only our students can! Mark your calendar now for these two great performances.

The annual STUDENT MISSIONS Auction will take place this Saturday night, April 10th with the Steak Supper beginning at 5:30 pm and the auction following at 6:30 pm. Tickets are still for sale in the church office or by seeing one of the Worship Arts Students. Tickets for the steak dinner are $12.00 each and children are free (Hamburgers). Take outs are also available. The students are attempting to raise $20,000.00 for their upcoming summer missions trip to New York City.

Everyone needs to come out and support the students this Saturday night. Many great items will be auctioned off including a gun, Arkansas Razorback team autographed football, etc.

To coordinate with the DVD project, a new website has been launched by FBC to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the sharing of our Real people...Real stories...Real change DVD testimonies. The website is www.yourlifematters.info. The same content that is on the DVD is now also online. We want to encourage every member to share this link with others on their Facebook page, Twitter, or MySpace accounts so others might hear these stories. You can also embed some of the videos into your own sites as well.
