Our monthly Volunteering Matters meeting will be tonight at 5:15 in room 203.

This group meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month to discuss volunteer opportunities for the upcoming month. The month of June is a big month for us! Here are a few events if you are looking for an area to serve in: Hope House Food Bank, Missions Golf Tournament, Vacation Bible School and Music Camp, & World Changers 2010.

Wow! Can you believe it is already March? We have been so busy at First Baptist Marion, the first quarter of 2009 is already coming to an end! An even bigger wow should be, look at all that has been accomplished through First Baptist Marion since our budget year began in October 08! The Lord is using this church in amazing ways and do you know why? To draw more people unto him, to be used to further his kingdom. Over the past several months we have seen just that, people joining our church to be used by God. That excites me!

I hope that you have enjoyed the last two weeks, I know that I have! I didn't realize how out of shape I really was until I started attending Marla's Aerobics class on Thursday night!

We are pleased to announce that we are in the process of creating a new FBC pictorial directory. WE NEED ALL FBC FAMILIES TO PARTICIPATE! The exact dates scheduled for taking pictures of the church family are as followed: August 7, 8, 9 and September 10, 11, 12, and 13.

How can you sign up? There are two ways: First, you can sign up at the church anytime during the week starting now. Second, you can sign up online by going to www.signup.olanmills.com. When you go to the site you can type in the church phone number (870-739-3944) and fill out the information, including assigning yourself a password. On that form you can schedule your appointment from home.

Everyone who participates will receive free 8x10 portrait, as well as a copy of the new directory around Thanksgiving. Even if you are a guest of FBC and are considering joining, we want you to participate. For more information, email me today at pam@fbcmarionark.org
